Lisa Simpson is said to be 8 years old and in the 2nd grade. She collects Malibu Stacy dolls, plays the saxophone and excels in school. At one time her mentor was Bleeding Gums Murphy, before his untimely death.

In her short life, she has stood up for, or against, many issues.

  • For self expression and musical creativity.
  • Against political corruption.
  • Against Laramie Cigarettes.
  • Against Whacking Day.
  • Against sexist Malibu Stacey dolls.
  • For her father.
She also has an obsession with Corey, a pre-teen idol.
  • Homer buys her a Corey magazine when she was sick.
  • She tells Janey about her dream that she was married to Corey.
  • Uses rolled-up Corey poster to announce Malibu Stacey give away.
  • She constantly calls the Corey Hotline (1-900-555-CORY).
  • Considers Corey her "one true love."
She attempts to educate her family on the ways of vegatarianism and political correctness, but fails miserably. Above all, she's an A student.
